ThanksLiving – Week 2

Let’s talk about the election, from what the Bible says about it:

2 Peter 1:10-11

I am certain God is more concerned with how you are living out the Great Commission than how you vote in November!

Matthew 28:19-20

What I’ve discovered is that the more I give attention to what God is doing in me, the more likely it is that he’s going to put someone in my path that he trusts me with as his son or his daughter to have this one at a time moment with them.”

Thanksliving sets priorities
Haggai 1:7

Thanksliving is about sharing
Following Jesus isn’t about loading up but unloading! Things like sin, shame, burdens as well as finances through giving and sharing!

Thanksliving is about sacrifice
When Jesus fed 5,000 families with one lunch, the little boy didn’t give his lunch so a table could be filled but that the hungry would be filled!

Thanksliving is counting others as more – Jesus did! He counted you as more!

When you receive a request for help…
If you see it as saying yes or no to the person who wrote the text it’ll be easy to say no.
But if you see it as saying yes or no to those who will be served by your efforts it will be much easier to say yes!
And if you see it as saying yes or no to Jesus it will be nearly impossible to say no!

“If you’re helping someone and expecting something in return, you’re doing business not kindness.”
