Palm Sunday was a vision-defining moment. Jesus showed His vision but it also exposed everyone’s vision.
Palm Sunday was a separation between the self-sufficient and the spiritually hungry.
Jesus was determined to expose the distinction between fans, followers and true disciples.
Jesus had a multitude of fans, a ton of followers, and some who were devoted believers, nowhere more obvious than in John 6.
Fans and followers don’t have impact. It was the believers and disciples “who turned the world upside down!” (see Acts 17:6)
“Whenever you’re in deliverance ministry, you’ve got to take your church from a hospital to a family, and from a family to an army. If it’s only a hospital you’re gonna actually make spiritual orphans and they’re gonna use you like a drug dealer. ‘I need to go get my fix.’”
