“The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” PSALM 29:11
You are blessed.
Do you truly recognize that?
Two lies that keep us from realizing how blessed we are.
FIRST LIE: Being blessed means having everything I want.
“Comparison kills contentment. Where comparison ends, contentment begins.”
– Craig Groeschel
TRUTH: God blesses us so that we can bless others.
SECOND LIE: My resources are limited.
TRUTH: Everything you “own” is really on loan.
DO YOU REALIZE HOW BLESSED YOU ARE?
The true test is this:
how do you handle the things you’ve been blessed with?
a. Do you hold onto it too tightly?
b. Do you waste it without thought?
c. OR do you thoughtfully share what you have with those in need?
How are you blessed?
MONEY / TALENT / TIME / LIFE / GRACE
Where do those intersect? THE CHURCH
– We believe in US.
- He’s given us an awesome mission
- and He’s given us each other.
The early church knew this. Check out the first 4 chapters of Acts.
But then… ACTS 5:2-4… Why did this happen?
We’re all in this… or there is nothing to be in.
They didn’t really believe in the Church. (Do you?)
What’s holding you back from being all in?
