INTERRUPTIONS
The unexpected circumstances that derail the plan, the dream, your attention, your perceived future.
A death, job loss, financial setback, bad medical report, trouble in your marriage, your child’s struggle or heartbreak,….
But what we see as an interruption, Jesus has already seen as the future.
And he has already planned accordingly!
You see, Jesus is your interruption’s interruption!
John 8:3-11 – the woman caught in adultery
Consumed with guilt, embarrassment, condemnation, self-loathing, an outcast.
What did Jesus write in the sand?
John 4:4-32 – the woman at the well
In a never-ending cycle of self-destruction, constant failures, dead inside, empty, unwelcome, one others were suspicious of.
“Just give Me a minute.” That’s all He needs to turn your past into something beautiful!
John 5:1-15 – the lame man of Bethesda
He was depressed, bound by the conditions of his life, missing out on what everyone else was enjoying.
Luke 23:39-43 – the thief on the cross
He was a criminal, bearing the shame of his actions and sharing that shame with his parents, alone, hopeless, with nothing to look forward to but his own death.
It’s never too late, no matter where you are, what you’ve done, how you’ve messed up, how bad others have failed you!
John 3:1-21 – Nicodemus
He was confused, no doubt disillusioned, with questions and serious doubts.
And Jesus answers our questions with the promise of life, abundant and eternal!
Miracles happen every day!
