Reckless – Week Five

In reality, recklessly following God isn’t reckless at all.

Romans 8:28

When we are walking with God’s direction, no action is reckless. It is purposeful and calculated.

RECKLESSLY CHASING JESUS

For our families – Luke 8:40-55

For our future – Luke 18:35-43

For our health – woman with 12 year disease

For our friends – 4 guys with a friend who was paralyzed

For wisdom, direction, purpose, hope, peace, joy, etc

In prayer, fasting, establishing parameters, small group involvement and reading God’s Word (from this sermon)

With consistency between the recklessness

THIS RECKLESS SAVIOR

John 2:13-17

Matthew 21:13

Isaiah 56:7

He was protecting your path to His Father! Every reckless action of His life was for you!

If you debate for even one second when God has spoken, it is all over for you. Never start to say, “Well, I wonder if He really did speak to me?” Be reckless immediately— totally unrestrained and willing to risk everything— by casting your all upon Him. You do not know when His voice will come to you, but whenever the realization of God comes, even in the faintest way imaginable, be determined to recklessly abandon yourself, surrendering everything to Him. It is only through abandonment of yourself and your circumstances that you will recognize Him. You will only recognize His voice more clearly through recklessness— being willing to risk your all.
