…And?

John 19:16-20:1

What is so special about Jesus? I’ll tell you…

There have been many teachers. Jesus was One, too.
AND Jesus teaches a selfless, love-one-another doctrine unlike any other!

Many historical writings teach us to regret our past.

AND Jesus brings us beyond that into freedom from condemnation and hope for our future!

Things can give you excitement, a thrill, a moment, meeting Jesus can as well.
AND Jesus gives us depth, fulfillment, something to live for and one day, if we ever need it, something worth dying for!

Many movements instruct how to be a better follower, have a better movement or be more religious.
AND Jesus is concerned with us having a better life, marriage, kids…

Many good men have lived. Jesus lived a good life, too.
AND Jesus died for my sins!

We must not forget that it wasn’t the Jews that put him on the cross, and it wasn’t the Romans. It was my sins, it was your sins, the sins of this world. – Franklin Graham

Many people profess to be leaders. Jesus was obviously a powerful leader.
AND Jesus professes to be the Son of God!

There is no question, it is historical fact that Jesus lived, claimed all of these things, and died on a cross. But what do we personally do with that?

Some imagine Jesus as a liar.
Or some might say Jesus was a lunatic.
AND… it is possible that Jesus is exactly who He says He is: the Son of God, who dreams of guiding us to a great life, who died for our sins to make us right with God!

AND if He truly is the Son of God then the possibilities are endless!

[ctt template=”3″ link=”4VN26″ via=”no” ]When Jesus died He didn’t say “I am finished.” He said, “It is finished.” Jesus was just getting started![/ctt]

A woman was sick, AND Jesus…!

A man was blind, AND Jesus…!

A man was paralyzed, AND Jesus…!

Simon Peter blew it, AND Jesus…!

Jesus died for our sins, they crucified Him, the soldier punctured His pericardium leaving no doubt about His death, they laid Him in a tomb, they sealed the tomb shut, His body laid there for part of 3 days. AND Jesus…!

  • John 19:16-20:1
  • Peter saw empty tomb BUT went away wondering, Luke 24:12
  • Peter & John strolled unknowingly with Jesus, afterwards realizing it, BUT simply went back to where they were staying, Luke 24:32-33
  • Jesus challenged His disciples and returned to heaven BUT they just stood there gazing to heaven, Acts 1:10-11, as if it was over
  • God has a plan but the next step is up to us, either continuing toward that plan or moving away from it. God has done all that is needed, AND… now it’s up to us, WHERE… we will follow and allow God to do amazing things!

You and I have heard the greatest story now, AND… what will we do with it?

If you would like to become a follower of Jesus it’s very simple. Jesus has already done the hard work by dying for our sins. All we have to do is believe Jesus is exactly who He says He is, the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again on the 3rd day. And tell someone.
