Share the Dream through Small Groups

Small Groups are not just about what we need to know.
Small Groups are also about who we need to be with.

The phrase “one another” is used over 50 times in the New Testament!

John Wesley was convinced Christians didn’t make much progress alone.

“The best way for a kid to know God is to know someone who knows God” Reggie Joiner

If we fill our lives with good people and develop solid relationships with other Christians, our lives will begin to be filled with good info, almost by default!

Small Groups are safe places

Acts 2:42

We are wired for connection

…for discovery – to learn, ask questions and steer clear of heresy

Titus 1:9-11

…to hear stories that enlighten or encourage

Hebrews 10:24-25, Mark 5:19

“Your story is a key that can unlock someone else’s prison.”

Small Groups foster deeper relationships

We need others for wisdom, cheering us on, support in tough times, creative inspiration, motivation, accountability

Deep relationships make us mentally, emotionally and physically healthier and challenge us to explore new things and grow personally

Proverbs 27:17, Ecclesiastes 4:12

“I believe one of the best preparations for marriage is participating in a small group. If a person has learned to be intimate and honest with a few friends before they get married, they will have less reason to fear intimacy after they are married.” Andy Stanley

Small Groups help us begin practicing the truths we discover and find opportunities to serve and spread our wings!

2 Timothy 2:2, Acts 4:34-35

Small Groups are often the front door of the church. The Bible is full of examples of ministry during the 163 hours outside of our Sunday worship service:

Acts 10:23-26, 16:13, 17:17-19, 18:7, 18:28, 19:9, 20:20 NIV
