The Bible doesn’t say much about endings.
Jesus said He will be with us forever and even His words will never pass away. When Paul talked about his purpose being finished on the earth he went straight into what was next, not an ending, just a transition!
Matt 28:20, Matt 24:35, 2 Tim 4:7-8
But the Bible does speak a lot about beginnings!
Genesis 1:1 & John 1:1 “In the beginning…”
John 2:11 “This beginning of signs…”
John 8:44 even tells us about Satan’s beginning, that “he was a murderer”
John 3:3 Jesus tells Nicodemus, and us, about a New Birth
And the prophet Zechariah tells us to not “despise small beginnings…” Zech 4:10
Jesus told Simon Peter to take the 1st step out of the boat and another time to cast his net before he caught any fish. Jesus healed a blind man by sending him to wash his eyes before his sight was restored. Elisha told Naaman to dip in the river before he was healed. And we are told to give and if we do, afterwards, – NOT BEFORE – “good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap”!
Matt 14:29, John 21:6, John 9:7, 2 Kings 5:14, Luke 6:38
Just like these today who are choosing to be obedient in baptism. Baptism is the first command we have once we begin to follow Jesus!
Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:48, Acts 13:24, Acts 22:16

It doesn’t matter WHEN you begin, just that you don’t wait any longer to do so!
